The boys and girls in Magherabeg dressed up as their favourite characters for world book day.
Some came as fictional characters while others came as non-fictional characters.
We had characters from novels, storybooks, comics, sports books, books about cars….. we had them all.
There was great creativity on show with Fintan designing his own stick man costume.
We had a great day!!

World Book Day is an annual charity event where booklovers can celebrate their favourite books and stories. In 2025 World Book Day took place on the 6 th of March. World Book day encourages not just children to read but EVERYBODY to read. Most schools have their students dress up as their
favourite book character.

This year in Magherabeg we dressed up like what we have been doing for the past few years. There
were characters such as The Boy in Striped Pyjamas, Agatha Oddly, a few famous football players
and many more characters!
BOOK TOKENS
Book tokens are little pieces of paper with colourful art. Book tokens also offer a discount of £1 or
€1.50 or full books for free. You can see the free books on the back of your token. The free books

World Book Day is a great charity event for all booklovers to enjoy.
