Boys and girls from our third and fourth classes got the opportunity to try out Futsol this week at the Aura Leisure Centre.

Futsal is FIFA’s official version of 5-a-side indoor football. It is played on a hard court surface with no walls or boards. The game uses a smaller, low-bounce ball that encourages creativity, technique, and skill. Players refine their ball control, passing, and dribbling in tight spaces, making it an exciting and dynamic sport.

There were so many opportunities for all the children to get lots of game-time, try out different positions and get lots touches of the ball. The game is non-competitive with no scores being kept but that did’t take away from the children being competive and having fun.

Our Girls team was Úna, Alana, Kerrie, Mia, Demi, Sophia, Ella G, Ella D and Liya.

Our boys team was Adam, Jamie, Jake, Conor, Nikolozi, Michael, Cayden, Lorcan, Neven and Daithi.
