The boys and girls got a surprise visit during sports day this week. Two of the Donegal footballers, who were recently crowned Ulster champions for the 11th time, visited with the Anglo-Celt trophy. The children couldn’t believe how heavy it was.
Caolan Ward, St. Eunan’s and a teacher at St. Eunan’s college, Letterkenny and Peadar Mogan, St. Nauls and a teacher at Deele College Raphoe, both local secondary schools, gave of their time generously while answering lots of interesting questions from the children. It’s hard to know if it was the students or the teachers who were more appreciative of the visit!
Mrs. Buchanan’s class gave a great rendition of their recently learned ‘Jimmy’s Winning Matches’.
Thank you very much to the lads and we wish themselves and the rest of the Donegal team the very best in the All Ireland quarter finals.
