Artemis II
What we learned in school was that the Artemis II was a historical event for NASA and the whole world. It was launched on April 1st 2026. It completed it’s mission around the moon coming back to land safely in the Pacific Ocean on April 11th 2026. It was the first manned rocket sent into space since the Apollo 17 mission in 1972.
Rising Rockets Roar
The first thing we did when making our rockets was to gather cardboard for the structure of the rocket and got tape and stuck rocket boosters on and designed it how we liked it. We then added newspaper and glue to make paper maiche. After that we added layers of white paint and smoothed it out. Then we painted it and designed it with lots of different and creative designs.
We learned that there where 4 astronauts commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch and mission specialist Jeremy Hanse. It was very fun to make and we all did it as teams and worked together in roles and had everyone involved.
