On the 24th of May we held a Relay for Life event that lasted the whole school day. We did this to raise money to donate to Bríd Bonner and Isobel Gibson’s gang, who enter a team and fundraise for Relay for life every year.
Some students helped set up signs to encourage people to keep going and we also set up a fundraiser box for donations.
The 6th class students helped younger classes to do laps around the school. Each class covered a half hour slot. Later in the day senior students did laps for an hour. Our parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters joined us for the last hour of the day.
We were delighted to have raised €400 for Bríd and Isobel’s gang.
