Fifth and sixth class went out into the garden where last year’s 6th class had planted potatoes. We all split up in groups of 4. There were 4 people in 4 groups. We all took turns picking out potatoes.
Some of the potatoes were green. They looked like apples. They had blight and were poisonous.
The other potatoes were healthy. We took them back to the class and cleaned them. They had soil on them so we had to clean them well.
Teacher picked out two students to clean them. Most of us took turns cleaning them. There were even more baby potatoes. After we cleaned them we each got two each to take home.
The really small ones that were left spare will be used for planting next year.
