Running events
Our first event was the 2016 80m sprint. Our athletes were Jay, Mason, Jenna and Mollie and they all did excellent.
Our next event was the 2015 100m sprint, and our athletes this time were Michael, Neven, Ella D and Liya – they also did excellent and Neven and Michael qualified for the finals. They did great in the final too!
Our next event was the 2014 100m sprint and our athletes this time were Conor, Adam, Caoimhe and Kerrie. Everybody was amazing and did really well.
Next was the 2013 100m sprint and our athletes were Ellie, Nadia, Nikolozi and Fintan and they all did brilliant and never gave up.
Next up we had the 2012 100m sprint and in that event we had Senan S, Senan D, Zainab and Clodagh and they did really good with Zainab getting into the final and winning bronze. Well done Zainab on coming third in your race!
Long Jump
We also had the long jump: here are all the athletes and their age groups.

Everybody who competed in the long jump did really great and we are very proud of them.
Shot Put
Our Shot Put athletes for each age group were as follows:
2012: Andrew and Kayden
2013: Derek, Nikolozi, Grace G and Nadia
2014: Conor, Faris and Demi
Everyone did excellent!
Turbo Javelin
Our Turbo Javelin athletes were
Lorcan, Illiya and Liya (2015) and
Jay, Lucas, Jenna and Amellie (2016) with Jenna winning a gold medal. Well done Jenna!
And well done to everyone who competed in the Turbo Javelin and Shot Put.
Relay
The 2012 mixed relay was the last of the events and the children that participated in this event were Clodagh, Senan D, Zainab and Senan S – all of the participants did excellent.
Everyone involved at the LAC Primary Schools Sports Day represented the school fantastically well and all involved had a brilliant day!
