Interschools 10th March 2026
On 10th March 2026, Interschools took place at CastleIrvine, Rose Garden Stables, Enniskillen, Co.Tyrone.
The walk the course for x-poles was at 8.00 am but it was an hour and 45 minutes drive from my house. The dress code was anything with your school name/crest. As I was representing Scoil Phroinnseas Naofa Magherabeg NS, I was wearing a zippie with my schools name on it. We also had to wear white jodphers.
When we arrived around 7.50 am we met up with our friends and walked the course. Afterwards we went to get our ponies and horse. We tacked up. As I was going to the warm up the crosspoles started. I warmed up and then went in line for x-poles there was 8 jumps and I went clear in it afterward.
I got a rosette and walked off my stables pony Glen. After the x- poles class it was off to the 50cm course we got 20 minutes to learn the course before we warmed up. I got my pony Glen and warmed up, I did transitions for a few minutes trot to centre. Then I did a few crosspoles and then 50cm upright. I lined up for my class and when I was going through my round I went double clear and was very proud. I couldn’t have done it without my stable friends and my Instructor Nicole Lynch from Carrickanee Stables.
