On Thursday 17th of September cross country was happening in O’Donnell Park. People had to do trials a week before the cross country. A few people got picked from each class. They where very excited for the trip.
Then it was the day of the cross country. Everybody was geared up for the challenge. Then at 10 o’ clock the people who got picked from the trials went on a bus to O’Donnell Park. Everybody was ready for the big day ahead.
When we arrived we got our gear on. We left our gear in the stand and had our lunch.
The younger children did their race first. They really enjoyed running their race.
Third and fourth class got warmed up for their race. When it was time for their race they all did very good. Mollie Foley got a medal and came 7th. She got through to the country finals.
Then it was 5th and 6th classes turn they had to do run 1km. They got warmed up and were ready for their race. Everybody did very good and ran a good race. After everyone got a snack, we got our gear and finally went back to school. Then it was home time.
