The boys and girls in Mrs McDaid’s 2nd and 3rd class made pinch pots for their mammies for Mother’s Day.

First our teacher showed us how to make the pots.

Then teacher gave us materials we needed to make the pinch pots.

Next we put our thumbs in the middle of the clay ball to make a hole in the middle of the pot.

After that we pinched around the pots to make the hole bigger.

Later we decorated the pots with an old pencil so we wouldn’t get our good pencils dirty.

Then we waited a week for them to dry.

We painted them in lots of colours so they would look beautiful.

Finally, we varnished the pot to make them nice and shiny for our mammies on Mother’s Day.
