Active Week began on Monday the 16th of June and ended on Friday the 20th. The active school committee helped out each class. Zainab, Kerri and Dylan helped out with Ms Whoriskey’s class. Mollie, Eoghan and Shannon helped out Ms Rodgers class. Caolan,Faris and Maison helped Mrs Mc Daid’s, and Ms Mc Laughlin had Senan Doherty and Grace Curran to help them out. On Monday we started with egg and spoon races, the sack race, 3 legged races etc. On Tuesday Ms Whoriskey’s class did an obstacle course while the rest of the classes did activities using the new walkway that was put up. On Wednesday a girl from PineHill Studios called Cara did a dance lesson with all the classes and everyone enjoyed it. On Thursday a coach from Lagan Harps called Damien came in and did a football session with each class. Everybody had a lot of fun! On the last day of Active Week Mrs Gildea came to do water games. First was the teachers vs Sixth Class bucket and sponge race. The Sixth Class won easily showing great communication and teamwork. Then Mrs Gildea did water games with all the other classes. Everybody got soaked! It was a great week with great weather and everyone had a great time! By Zainab and Eoghan.
