Active School Flag’s 4-week running challenge

This year’s initiative was the ‘Run Around Europe Challenge’ and ran from 26th February to 22nd March 2024 with a focus on participation, inclusion and fun.

Each class ran 2 (or more) laps of the school each day.  Working together as a school, the combined kilometres brought us to many of the capital cities across Europe.

Our first destination was Madrid, Spain, a distance of 1,447km, where we put into practice what we are learned in Spanish class!

Ms.McDaid’s class helped record the number of laps completed each day.

We reached Madrid, our first destination, in record time!  Our next stop was Paris to see how preparations are coming along for the upcoming Olympic Games.

In the final week of our Run Around Europe we headed to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, for some skiing!
